It's just that the production parameters as offered are a little hard to swallow - 1 guy, 1 year, 1 computer. There is unanimity in praise for the creative and production quality of the film to the extent that the software used is immaterial. With respect, I don't think there are any whiners in the thread. I used Blender to model and modify props, as well as for all the physics like for example cloths, plastics or blood that were later added in post-production to the Daz Studio Renders. I used Daz Studio as the base program, everything was planned, animated and rendered in Daz Studio. I contacted Jesús and asked him how Blender was used in this project. Currently ROSA is in development to be a live-action motion picture. Following the succesful festival run, the short film has attracted the attention of the major talent-agencies and Hollywood producers. In October ROSA was screened at the opening night of the Sitges International Film Festival, considered the world's best festival specialized in genre films. Since it's world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival, ROSA has been an official selection at film festivals around the world such as Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, Anima Mundi or Los Angeles Shorts Film Festival.

The short-film was created entirely by young comic-artist Jesús Orellana with no budget during a single year. Rosa will soon learn that she is not the only entity that has awakened and must fight for her survival. From the destruction awakes Rosa, a cyborg deployed from the Kernel project, mankind’s last attempt to restore the earth’s ecosystem. ROSA is an epic sci-fi short film that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where all natural life has disappeared. An impressive short movie done with Blender And Daz Studio by Jesús Orellana.
